Driver blows six times legal limit with two kids in car

A Croydon man has blown more than sic times the legal limit while driving with two young children in his car.

The 43-year-old was intercepted on Maroondah Highway in Croydon at about 8pm on Sunday.

He underwent a breath test and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.312.

There were two children — aged six and eight — in the back of his vehicle.

His licence has been suspended and he’s expected to be charged.
