A woman is expected to be charged with drink driving after allegedly crashing a car through a home in Melbourne’s east, leaving a significant damage bill.

The vehicle crashed through the front wall, travelled all the way through the lounge room, then smashed through another wall and into the garage before coming to a rest in the backyard of the home on the Warburton Highway at Seville at about 9.45pm on Sunday.

Police say the 45-year-old driver returned a breath test of 0.154.

Her licence has been suspended.

The occupants of the home — a couple and an eight-month-old baby — were inside at the time but miraculously weren’t injured.
