Police have since confirmed they were called to the Airport West address and told a white utility driving on Walters Avenue left the roadway and drove through the front fence of a house before hitting the house about 3.40pm.
Three men inside the house and a child were injured, while a female resident was monitored at the scene by paramedics.
There was no structural damage to the house.
The driver of the car fled the scene on foot immediately after the crash.
It is believed the ute had earlier today driven into a silver 4WD utility parked in the driveway causing significant damage.
It is believed the parties involved are known to each other.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or with dashcam vision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
