Driver rescued after being trapped on a cliff edge at Mt Martha

A teenage driver has endured a harrowing hour or so trapped in a car that had almost gone off a cliff at Mount Martha.

The driver reportedly lost control and crashed around 9.30pm on Sunday.

CFA and SES crews managed to prevent the car from falling off the cliff.

The male driver was rescued and taken to Frankston hospital with cuts and abrasions.
