Drivers told to brace for petrol price rise as fuel excise discount ends this month
Drivers are being told to brace for significant price increases in petrol once the the fuel excise discount ends on September 27.
Mark McKenzie, CEO of the Australasian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association, told Ross and Russel the government was standing firm on not extending the discount.
“That’s what we’re being told by government and have been told repeatedly,” he said.
