Drivers warned to be vigilant of deer on Victorian roads as numbers ‘explode’

There are concerns about the number of feral deer in Victoria, with drivers in Melbourne’s outer suburbs and suburban fringes urged to be vigilant for the large animals.

It comes after 3AW Afternoons was sent graphic images of the aftermath of what can happen when a vehicle hits one with Luke, the driver of the truck, speaking to Dee Dee on the near death experience.

“I think I’m a very lucky man, because I got to go home and kiss my kids and my wife last night,” he said.
