Dromana resident confronts masked man on his doorstop with a ‘gun’

A former soldier has told of how he wrangled what he thought was a real gun off a masked man at his front door.

Lawrence, 65, awoke at around 1.30am to find a man at the doorstop of his Dromana home pointing the gun, which turned out to be fake, in his face.

‘I opened the door there was a man with a mask, all in black, very scary,’ he told Neil Mitchell.
