Drug haul uncovered in dirty laundry at Port Phillip Prison
A prison crime ring has been caught smuggling drugs, mobile phones and tobacco into Port Phillip Prison, via dirty laundry from nursing homes.
The Herald Sun reports prison authorities found the haul, believed to be worth tens of thousands of dollars, while sifting through piles of laundry from aged care facilities.
Phone chargers, USB memory sticks and pouches of tobacco were also uncovered during the search.
