Drunk caught driving on train tracks to ‘visit kids for Christmas day’… this morning
A man caught driving along train tracks on the Mornington peninsula claimed he was visiting his kids for Christmas day.
And being three days late was only the start of his problems.
Police spotted the man, 38, attempting to drive his ute onto train tracks at Hastings about midnight today.
The vehicle became stuck on the Stony Point railway line near Reid Parade and had to be removed by a tow truck.
The Safety Beach man found behind the wheel told officers he was on the way to visit his kids for Christmas day.
