Dwayne Russell says North Melbourne should retire Brent Harvey’s number

North Melbourne should retire the No.29 guernsey in honour of Brent Harvey, says Dwayne Russell.

But AFL greats Gerard Healy and Tony Shaw don’t agree.

Boomer breaks the AFL/VFL record for games played on Saturday night.

Dwayne Russell said retiring Harvey’s number once he retired would be a great way to honour that achievement.

‘I reckon they should,’ he said on 3AW Football.

‘I think breaking the all-time games record is a once in a half-century achievement.

‘Make him an icon until somebody else breaks it.’

But Dwayne didn’t win much support in the commentary box!
