East West Link: Tom Elliott urges state government to take up federal offer ‘with both hands’
The federal government is maintaining a promise to build the East West link according to budget papers.
$4 billion has been set aside for the project, which was ditched by the Andrews government in 2014, in the upcoming federal budget.
Tom Elliott has urged the state government to take up the offer.
“Here is a free road,” Tom said on 3AW Drive.
“Even if you don’t think it’s that good of a road, and plenty of people don’t, it is being offered, effectively free of charge, to the taxpayers and people of Victoria.”
