HALF TIME

Geelong has been dominant, but wayward kicking in front of goal is keeping Hawthorn in it.

The Cats have had 17 scores to eight, but their lead is 24 points.

3AW analyst Tony Shaw said the Hawks no longer resemble the premiership side of recent years.

‘The old Hawthorn wouldn’t go back into its shell,’ he said.

Tipping this one should be a simple, right?

Well, if Hawthorn and Geelong have taught us anything over the years, it’s that there’s never an easy clash between them.

The Hawks will still be stinging from last week’s debacle on the Gold Coast.

Will the result spur them on to victory on Easter Monday? Or will the Cats pile further misery on their old rivals?
