Eat Up: The charity providing free school lunches in over 1100 schools across Australia

After starting as a grassroots sandwich drive for hungry local students in 2013, Eat Up has expanded to provide free school lunches at more than 1100 schools across the country.

Founder Lyndon Galea told 3AW Breakfast hosts Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen they could not do it without their volunteer support team.

“We are very lucky, we work with about 20,000 volunteers every year,” he said.
