EDITORIAL: Stop talking about the tax system and do something

Tom Elliott has a simple and blunt message for the prime minister: stop talking about tax reform and get on with it!

Following a speech by PM Malcolm Turnbull on tax earlier today, Tom said he was tired of politicians endlessly ordering reviews and making speeches about tax. 

‘The time to be talking about the tax system is well and truly over.’

‘In the past eight or nine years, we have had no fewer than three of four comprehensive reviews of our tax systems.

‘They all same the same thing: make it simple, get rid of the loopholes and get on with it.’
