Elderly grandmother misses Mother’s Day lunch after disappointing taxi stuff-up

A 91-year-old was forced to miss out on Mother’s Day celebrations yesterday after 13cabs failed to pick her up.

Jocelyn Malten told Neil Mitchell the family booked a pre-paid wheelchair taxi to pick her elderly grandmother up from her nursing home and drive her to lunch.

But it never turned up and they couldn’t secure another taxi, so she was forced to miss out.
