Elderly man has knife held to throat in distressing home invasion

Two young men have been arrested and charged after a 79-year-old man allegedly had a knife held to his throat in a terrifying home invasion on Sunday night.

Police said a 63-year-old woman was also threatened in the Deer Park incident.

She suffered a fall as a result.

The distressing incident happened about 11.30pm.

Two men, aged 22 and 19, have since been arrested and charged.
