‘Elderly man’ pinches necklace and flees from jewellers

Witnesses have reported seeing an elderly man rob a jewellery store at Cranbourne.

3AW Drive was alerted to the theft at Cranbourne Park shopping centre on Monday.

Caller Tina said she saw the man, with a noticeable limp, fleeing the scene with a necklace.

“He’d have to be 70 plus,” she said.

Prouds Jewellers have since confirmed they were robbed but remain tight-lipped on details.
