Elderly woman hurt in Glen Waverley house fire

An elderly woman has suffered burns to her face after a house fire at Glen Waverley.

Fire crews were called to the Lisbon Street property shortly before 7pm on Monday.

The woman, aged in her 70s, was taken to the Monash Medical Centre in a stable condition.

The fire was contained to a single bedroom within about 20 minutes.
