3AW Mornings’ foreign affairs analyst says he expects some blowback from China about Australia spending up to two billion dollars on improving our missile capabilities.

David Wright-Neville told 3AW on Thursday the investment was clearly in response to China’s recent advancements.

“I’m sure there will be some pushback about this investment from Beijing, but the reality is China’s overwhelming defence investment over the last 10 years has been offensive, that is to say it enables China to project its power further from its border into our region,” he said.
