Embattled politician Don Nardella quits Labor Party in wake of living expenses scandal
Don Nardella has resigned from the Labor Party.
The former deputy speaker reportedly pulled the pin after a showdown with the Premier over his parliamentary expenses scandal.
Daniel Andrews said he asked Mr Nardella to repay more than $110,000, which he claimed for living in Ocean Grove rather than his Melton electorate.
But he refused.
The Premier then asked for Mr Nardella’s resignation.
The Premier says he asked Don Nardella to repay the money he claimed.
Mr Nardella refused.
