Emergency room ‘mayhem’ leaves parent shocked

A parent who took her son to the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne emergency room last night was shocked by the number of families waiting.

Tess told Jacqui Felgate that her family had spent almost 12 hours at the hospital before leaving this morning due to the demand from children suffering respiratory issues.

“You could see everyone was just stressed; everyone was sitting around on the floor,” she told Jacqui.
