Emma Edge tracks down her engagement ring on a beach on the Bellarine Peninsula

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: An engagement ring lost on a beach near Torquay has turned up in the most unlikely of circumstances.

Volunteer lifesaver Emma Edge didn’t realise she’d lost her engagement ring on Australia Day at the beach until five days later.

She hatched a plan to go back to the beach and find it.

With the help of a metal detector, and a friendly local, she did just that.
