The wife of a man whose car was stolen yesterday has pleaded for the thief to return her husband’s phone, as it contains photos of their four-week-old baby.

Stephen told Neil Mitchell yesterday his ute was stolen from a Greenvale work site.

Wife Frances today choked back tears as she updated 3AW Mornings, saying the car has been found but the items inside are gone.

“The police called us this morning and they found it at the Sunbury pub,” Frances said.

“They took his phone which had all the photos of the kids.

“We just had a baby four weeks ago and it has all our new born photos on it.”

Stephen’s phone is a Etch Galaxy S7 with a crack in the screen.
