Energy provider to ‘review’ planned works on Mother’s Day

United Energy says it will review a decision to replace a transformer in Melbourne’s east on Sunday following a complaint on 3AW Drive.

Melanie rang Tom Elliott in frustration after she received a letter informing her of the planned outage on Sunday.

She had planned to have people over for Mother’s Day.

“We’ll have to make other arrangements,” she told Tom Elliott.

“I’m just really frustrated.

“It shouldn’t be on a Sunday.”

United Energy has since responded, saying it would review the planned works.
