England tactics “predictable”, says Dave Warner

Dave Warner says England’s tactics against him were “predictable”.

The opener made 26 in Australia’s first innings against England before being caught at mid-wicket.

England captain Joe Root had sent a fielder to deep cover to stymie Warner’s run-scoring power and decrease the value of his big hitting.

It proved effecting, and Warner told Macquarie Cricket after the day’s play it was “predictable”.

“They’ve done that for years now,” Warner said.

“I expect it. It’s about us negating it.”
