‘Enough is enough’: Former Alfred physician calls for new hospital amid rat infestation

Former Alfred Hospital physician for 30 years, Professor John Wilson, has called for a new hospital on the site of The Alfred amid a rat infestation.

Professor Wilson resigned from the hospital one year ago, fed up with the deteriorating conditions inside the hospital, and claimed there has to be a “tipping point”.

“When does the community stand up and say, enough is enough, rats in our hospitals are not acceptable, and it’s time we had a new one,” Professor Wilson told Neil Mitchell.
