Essendon 34 compensation claims complete

Another chapter in the Essendon supplements saga has come to a close with the last of the affected players agreeing to terms.

In a statement released this afternoon, Essendon chief executive Xavier Campbell confirmed confirmation claims from the 34 past and present players involved in the supplements saga had been resolved.

“It’s has been a challenging and complex process,” Campbell said.

“I would like to thank the players and families for their patience and professionalism working through the process.

“The Club, through its lawyer Ken Adams of Herbert Smith Freehills, and with the assistance of the AFL, worked hard to ensure a consistent and fair framework was established and adhered to throughout the process.”
