The two teams who should be ‘pretty peeved’ over Gather Round fixture

Sam McClure says Essendon and Melbourne fans have the right to be “pretty peeved” following the release of next year’s Gather Round fixture.

The AFL on Saturday confirmed the fixture for Gather Round in 2024, which will again see all nine games played in the one state.

Melbourne will take on Adelaide to open the round, while Port Adelaide will face Essendon on the Friday night.

“If I’m were Essendon or Melbourne today, I would be pretty peeved,” McClure said on Wide Sports of Sports.

The AFL is expected to release the full 2024 fixture on Thursday.
