Essendon coach John Worsfold has admitted the Bombers wouldn’t re-sign all 12 banned players under normal circumstances.

The Dons have committed to persisting with the 12 players who have sat out 2016 following suspensions stemming from the club’s infamous 2012 supplements program.

But in response to questioning from 3AW Football’s Matthew Lloyd, Worsfold conceded some of those 12 would have otherwise been left behind.

‘If all 12 come back, it would be fair to say that maybe not all 12 would’ve been recontracted under normal circumstances.’

‘But in saying that, that’s a real unknown.’ – Worsfold told 3AW Football on Friday.
