Essendon investigating claims supporter racially abused players during indigenous round
Racism has reared its ugly head at the football again, with Essendon investigating claims a supporter racially abused the club’s indigenous players.
A Richmond supporter took to Facebook after Saturday night’s Dreamtime At The ‘G clash between the Bombers and Tigers, saying she wanted to ‘name and shame’ the female fan.
She’s accused of abusing her own club’s indigenous players and then other fans when challenged about her language.
The Facebook poster has contacted Essendon about the incident.
The Bombers have confirmed they’re looking into it.
