Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro ‘hoping’ Jake Carlisle will agree to Hawthorn move
Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro wants Jake Carlisle to come to an agreement with Hawthorn, despite Carlisle remaining firm with his intention of joining St Kilda.
Dodoro told 3AW the Bombers were satisfied with the Hawks’ bid for the tall utility, who came from the clouds on Thursday.
‘Right now, it’s with the Hawthorn footy club,’ Dodoro said on Sports Today.
‘They’re in discussions with Jake and we’re hoping they can come to an agreement soon.’
But St Kilda and Carlisle’s management released a statement shortly after those comments, reaffirming Carlisle’s desire to join the Saints.
Dodoro, meanwhile, said Essendon ‘could have pushed’ Melbourne for more in its deal for Jake Melksham.
They received pick 25 for the midfielder.
He also laughed off suggestions Brendon Goddard might be leaving Essendon.
