Expert slams schools dishing out homework, labeling it ‘mindless’ and a ‘waste of time’

Students are finding an unlikely ally in an international educational expert, who thinks homework is a waste of time.

American consultant Matt Miller says he’s horrified by the amount of after-hours study teachers are dishing out to their pupils.

He told 3AW Breakfast, instead of swamping students with homework, the focus should be on better classroom teaching, ‘We can get the results that we need in the classroom setting, instead of sending them home with work sheets and mindless repetitive tasks.’
