Experts push to ban unhealthy ads during Commonwealth Games

VicHealth is pushing to ban specific ads during the Commonwealth Games in 2026.

Chief executive officer, Dr Sandro Demaio, says it’s an opportunity to ensure the games are “healthy.”

“That means they’re free from advertising and sponsorships for products like gambling, alcohol, vaping, e-cigarettes,  unhealthy food and drinks,” he told Heidi Murphy.
