Explosive thrown at police, sparking dramatic pursuit ending at Hampton Park

An explosive has reportedly been thrown at police, sparking a dramatic chase through Melbourne’s south east.

3AW Mornings was flooded with calls from Hampton Park on Friday morning, with Kieran telling Neil Mitchell more than a dozen police cars had sped past him.

‘It was actually pretty frightening, to be honest with you,’ he said.

‘They were coming from everywhere.’

Elaine also rang to report an incident on Hallam Road.

Police have since confirmed they were executing a warrant in the area when an item, believed to be a molotov cocktail, was thrown at them.

Two men and a woman have been arrested.
