The world is in shock after a US man went on a murderous frenzy and broadcast it live on Facebook.

The alleged killer, Ohio man Steve Stephens, posted the Facebook Live video of him killing a 78-year-old man under the headline of ‘Easter Saturday slaughter’.

It showed Stephens choose the elderly man at random, chase him down and shoot him dead.

He claimed there was up to another 14 people dead, but Cleveland police have found no evidence of that.

Local reporter Scott Taylor, from ABC7 News, described watching the video to Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.

‘It was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever seen,’ Taylor said.

‘The city was in crisis for several hours.’
