Facebook page mocking CFA volunteers emerges online

A cruel Facebook page featuring photos, memes and messages mocking CFA volunteers has been taken down.

Neil Mitchell revealed the ‘Circus for Adults’ page included a recent post poking fun at a CFA volunteer, who was pictured smoking a cigarette in uniform.

Comments on the photo read ‘ultra large’ and ‘It’s OK, it’s in the VFBV’s SOP!’ 

Meredith CFA chief Chris Jones told Neil Mitchell the man pictured is in his brigade and it was a ‘disgrace.’

‘I could not be more disappointed and unhappy,’ he said.

He told Neil Mitchell it could be the tipping point that destroys their relationship between career and volunteer firefighters once and for all.
