Fairfield Bowls Club makes a plea for ten new members to keep the club afloat
Fairfield Bowls Club has made a plea for committed bowlers to keep their club afloat.
Club chair Graham Down told Justin and Kate said they’ll take anyone, regardless of skill or experience.
Mr Down said the club is a great place to be around.
‘We’re a small club, everyone knows each other. We get on fantastically,’ he said.
‘We don’t get sucked into the big club attitude of ‘competitive drive at all costs’.’
Mr Down said recent innovations like ‘barefoot bowls’ have been good for raising awareness of the sport, but isn’t conducive to bringing in players who commit to playing every Saturday.
