Family flees fire at Taylors Lakes

A man has suffered burns, while his wife and children and have escaped unharmed following a fire at Taylors Lakes.

The family of five woke to find to find the garage of their home on fire at 4am.

The 44-year-old man helped his wife and three children escape before trying to put the fire out himself.

He suffered burns and smoke inhalation while doing so.

MFB crews arrived quickly to prevent the fire from spreading.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

It’s not being treated as suspicious.
