Family’s Christmas ruined after car stolen containing all their presents and belongings
A Melbourne family’s Christmas has been ruined after their car, with all their presents and valuables inside was stolen on Christmas Eve.
The Gepp family are moving from Melbourne to Canberra, and were staying Bendigo on December 24, when their 2015 Suzuki Grand Vitara was stolen during the night.
The car had all the family belongings, as well as Christmas presents for their two young children inside.
This morning, mum Jessie Gepp told Tony Jones the car has been recovered, but it’s not the outcome they hoped for.
“It’s not the best outcome, it sounds like they’ve taken the car for a joyride or purposefully crashed it,” she said.
“It’s completely written off.
“Unfortunately not the outcome we were hoping for.”

“I just wanted to thank the Bendigo and Ballarat communities who helped us and donated car seats,” she added.
