Etihad Stadium has handed down its first lifetime ban following a violent incident at the weekend.

There has been a swift response to a wild brawl involving several men after the Collingwood and Western Bulldogs match at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.

Stadium Chief Executive Michael Green says tough action is being taken against a patron found to have breached the conditions of entry.

A 46-year-old Carnegie man has been charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury, affray, possessing cocaine and resisting police.

Victoria Police Acting Commander David Clayton says recent anti-social behaviour is “completely unacceptable” and offenders should expect the full force of the law.
