‘Farmers are feeling it’: Calls mount for Albanese to visit drought-ravaged areas
Farmers are growing increasingly frustrated with the Prime Minister for not visiting Victoria’s drought-ravaged south-west.
President of the Victorian Farmers Federation Brett Hosking has called on Anthony Albanese to visit areas around Ballarat next week when he attends the Bush Summit.
“10 minutes out of town and he would be right in the thick of the drought, areas around Ballan and that, that are really doing it tough,” he told Ross and Russ.
Press PLAY to hear his concerns
“Certainly, our farmers are feeling it, there’s no doubt the drought hasn’t left them alone yet,” he said.
