The fate of one of Melbourne’s most-loved bookshops hangs in the balance.
The Bourke Street building Hill of Content — a 102-year-old institution — occupies is set to go under the hammer next month.
Children’s author Michelle Worthington told Tom Elliott “just for the historical value alone it should be kept alive, but bookshops are closing left, right and centre”.
