Federal governement launches attempt to ‘disrupt scammers’
The federal government has launched a new National Anti-Scams Centre which aims to disrupt scammers and help Australians impacted by scams.
Assistant treasurer and minister for financial services, Stephen Jones says the centre is the governments attempt to ensure Australians they aren’t on their own.
“It’s about disruption, it’s about education, and it’s about providing victims with assistance,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Tom Elliott.
