Female pedestrian killed after collision in Melbourne’s west

A woman has died after being struck by a scooter in Melbourne’s west this afternoon.

Police are at the scene of the fatal collision which occurred in Braybrook just before 1pm.

It’s believed the female pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, was struck by a three-wheeled scooter on Beachley Street, but the exact cause of the collision is not yet clear.

The male scooter rider assisted at the scene and was not injured.
