A reporter was booted out of Question Time in parliament today because she was apparently showing “too much skin”.

Patricia Karvelas was told to leave because of what she was wearing.

Macquarie Media’s Canberra correspondent, Eliza Edwards, said there were rules as to what people could wear but argued they lacked consistency.

“We’re meant to sort of dress like the politicians, but a few of them are known to show a bit of skin – Julie Bishop wore a sleeveless dress just this week and it’s not like she’s been pulled up on this,” Edwards said.
