A phone number used to assist with injured wildlife across Victoria has been disconnected.

‘Help For Wildlife’ has been around for more than 30 years.

Neil Mitchell wants to fix this – ‘The volunteers still want to help, but nobody can contact them.’

The owner of the volunteer group, Denise Garratt sadly died last year.

Neil spoke with Sue Kirrwan from ‘Help For Wildlife Limited’.

Sue says they’ve tried to get the phone number back, but the new owner doesn’t want to help.

‘Obviously they’ve got no interest in what Denise did.’

‘It’s not about anything but the animals.’ – Sue told 3AW Mornings.

Help For Wildlife receive around 30,000 calls per year.
