Fight MND chairman pays tribute to Dr Ian Davis following tragic passing

Fight MND chairman Bill Guest has paid tribute to Dr Ian Davis following his passing on Thursday.

The inaugural chairman and co-founder with Neale Daniher of the foundation, the late Dr Davis was credited as one of the driving forces behind raising money to combat the insidious disease.

Mr Guest said Dr Davis, who lost his own battle with MND at the age of 40, was “extraordinary” in his intelligence and research while working for his foundation.

“Ian was never one to pump his own tyres,” he said.

“I met him five years ago (when I joined the foundation) and he’s been an extraordinary man. I’ve have nothing but admiration from the moment I met him.”
