The fees associated with kids sport should be tax deductible, according to finance guru David Koch.

Speaking on 3AW Mornings, Koch believes the costs associated are preventing kids from playing sport.

‘I just think it’s chronically expensive, I was absolutely stunned at the cost of registration fees.’

‘It’s just putting it out of the reach of so many families’ he said.

Koch believes it’s about creating habits.

‘That’s what we’ve got to do, to bring up a generation of kids were it’s normal to keep moving, where it’s normal to keep fit’. he said.

?’You could either make it deductable or a rebate, or get the government to pay the insurance premiums of any kid that’s registered in a junior sport’ he said.
