Finance Guru Scott Haywood outlines changes to age pension test

Changes to the age pension asset test could hit pensioners hard, Finance Guru Scott Haywood says.

During his regular segment on 3AW Drive, he said the changes have gone largely unreported but could be significant.

‘Firstly the numbers we have seen is that 300,000 plus part-pensinoers are going to lose, some will lose their pension entitlements completely,’ he said.

He said the combined assets for couples will be dropped January 1 to $823,000.
