Fiona Patten calls for voluntary voting from 16

The leader of the Reason Party wants voluntary voting between the ages of 16 and 18.

Fiona Patten told Neil Mitchell Australia needed to get younger people more “engaged” with the political system and voluntary voting was a good way to start.

“We need to engage our kids,” she said.
